Where Do I Look For Them
The short answer is Everywhere! The long answer is that they
can be found in and around the mattress, box spring, bed frame,
head board, foot board, dresser, night stands, clocks, computers,
pictures on the wall, baseboard....You get the idea. Trying to
find the bug may be difficult, but you can usually find symptoms.
Look for brown specs on the mattress. This can be dried blood
or fecal matter. Also look for dried skins from during the molting
process.
Inspect the mattress along the tufts and seams. Check it for
rips or tears where the bugs could enter the mattress. Do the
same thing with the box springs. You will probably want to remove
the back mesh cover of the box springs to get to the inside. You
are looking for the bugs or evidence that the bug has been there.
Take the drawers out of the night stand and dressers and inspect.
Look behind and on the bottom of these pieces of furniture.
Inspect the baseboard for cracks. Check anywhere where there
is a texture transition: paper to paint, paint to wood, wood to
metal... Check behind and inside of picture frames and mirrors
on the wall. Look closely at and possibly in clock radios, tvs,
computers and other light appliances in the bedroom.
